Terms of Use

Effective 25 September 2026 · Last updated 25 September 2026

These terms apply when you use PickleCall, a pickleball scorekeeping app for Android and Wear OS made by Kiwi Kettle (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PickleCall on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. This includes keeping score at clubs, leagues and friendly tournaments. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

2. Purchases and payment

Where you pay

All purchases in PickleCall are made through the app store you downloaded it from (Google Play today). The store processes the payment, charges your chosen payment method and issues the receipt, and its own terms apply alongside these. We never see or store your card or bank details.

Prices and taxes

  • Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and on the store's payment screen before you confirm. The price on that screen is the one you pay.
  • Prices can differ by country and may change over time. A price change never affects a purchase you've already made.
  • Where required, the store adds or includes sales tax, VAT or GST in the price.
  • Promotional prices apply only during the stated promotion.

One-time purchases (PickleCall Pro)

  • PickleCall Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. You pay once and keep it. It unlocks the Pro features described in the app and removes ads.
  • Pro is linked to the store account you bought it with. Use Settings → Restore purchase to unlock it again on another device or after reinstalling.
  • Separately sold add-ons, such as the Wear OS companion, are one-time purchases unless the store's payment screen says otherwise, and are described at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions (if offered)

We may later offer optional subscriptions, such as cloud sync. If we do, and you subscribe:

  • The price, billing period and what's included are shown before you confirm.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You're charged through the store at the start of each new period.
  • You can cancel at any time in your store account's subscription settings (on Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • If there's a free trial, you won't be charged if you cancel before it ends. Otherwise the first paid period starts automatically when the trial ends.
  • If the price of a subscription goes up, the store will tell you in advance and, where required, ask you to accept the new price before you're charged it.
  • If a payment fails, the store may retry it during a grace period. Access may pause until payment goes through.
  • Things you already bought one-time, like Pro, are never moved into a subscription.

Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

3. Ads

The free version shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob. We never show ads on the live scoreboard. See the Privacy Policy for how ads use data and how to manage your choices.

4. Scores and rules

PickleCall helps you keep score and follow common pickleball rules, but it isn't an official rules authority. If the app and your officials, your tournament director or the official rulebook disagree, the officials and the rulebook win. You're responsible for how you use the scores the app shows.

5. Play safe

Don't let the app distract you during play. If you wear PickleCall on a watch or mount a phone near the court, make sure it's secure and out of the way of players.

6. Your content

Player names, team names and match data you enter stay on your device and belong to you. Please don't enter anything offensive or anyone's sensitive personal information.

7. Updates and availability

We may update the app to fix bugs, add features or meet store and legal requirements. Some updates may change or remove features. We'll try not to remove anything you paid for, and if a core Pro feature is ever withdrawn we'll do our best to offer a fair alternative. We don't promise the app will always be available or error-free.

8. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Kiwi Kettle isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms. Sections 8 and 9 continue to apply after that.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we'll let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
